Google Chrome Web App Store Now Available Worldwide

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has announced that the Chrome Web Store is now available to the entire Chrome user base. It is available in 41 different languages so that people across the world can use it. In-app purchases have been added as a feature to the Chrome Web Store applications. Developers will be charged a flat five percent fee. About 17 million apps have been installed thus far. [Engadget]

Google Launching Chrome Web App Store

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has announced that they are launching an online Chrome web app store. Some of the apps that will be available right away upon launch includes Pandora, Digg, Lego Star Wars, Tweetdeck, LinkedIn, Plants vs. Zombies, NPR, Bejeweled 2, and Scrabble. The Dark Room image editing software will cost $4.99. The Sports Illustrated web app will have embedded video and will be fully searchable. [Engadget]
