Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has added Pivot tables to Google Docs to make it easy to summarize large sets of data. To set up a Pivot table, go to Data > Pivot Table Report after selecting the data. When editing the pivot table report editor, set the rows, columns, and values. Fields in the values section can be added as a Sum, CountA, Average, Max, Min, or Product. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has released a Google Docs application for the Android operating system. Users will be able to search, edit, and share documents through the app. The Docs can be easily shared with contacts on your phone from within the app itself. You can add a widget to your home screen for easier accessing starred documents, taking a photo to upload to docs, or creating a new Doc with one tap. Photos taken with the Google Docs Android app converts text in the photo into editable Google documents using optical character recognition (OCR). Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has added Pagination to Docs. Now Google Docs have a ruler for controlling the margins, text wrapping, and pagination. Pagination allows you to see visual pages on the screen. Pagination should be available to everyone by the end of today. Headers now show up at the top of every page and manual page breaks moves the text onto new pages. Footnotes appear on the bottom of the pages as well. If you want to edit fonts or align a paragraph, then you will need to visit the Desktop version of the document editor on the iPad. To insert formulas into Google Spreadsheets using an iPad, you will need to click on Go to spreadsheet view at the top of the mobile view.
