Amit Singhal, a Google Fellow in the Engineering Department, has addressed some of the concerns about Google Instant. He says that the top results on Google Instant is based purely on mathematical modeling and they are not paid results.

Google Launches Previews For Instant Search

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched a feature called “Instant Previews.” When using Google Instant, you will notice a magnifying glass icon. When clicking on the icon, you will notice a preview pane that appears on the right. This allows you to see what the search result looks like before actually looking at it.

Yahoo! Owns Several Patents That Is Related To Google Instant

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) owns several patents that is related to Google Instant. Yahoo! SVP of search and a former search product leader at Google Shashi Seth created a similar service five years ago.

Google Launches Instant Search, Mobile Version Arriving This Fall

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched a new service called Google Instant. Google Instant predicts what you are searching for as you type and finds the results as your are typing. This will help people save a lot of time — about 2-5 seconds per search according to Google.
