Google TV Launching On October 17 [RUMOR]
Google TV is rumored to be launching on October 17. The Logitech Revue box hardware is already passed through the FCC and an internal Best Buy document has been shared with Engadget. In the document, it says that “the launch of GoogleTV that was planned for 10/3 has been pushed back 2 weeks.” [Engadget]

Google TV Launching This Fall
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO Eric Schmidt said that Google is planning to launch Google TV this fall. At the IFA technology trade fair in Berlin, Schmidt presented Google TV. Google TV puts a search bar at the top of the TV screen and allows users to surf the Internet. TV listings will also be placed on Google TV.

Google TV To Challenge Apple TV [VIDEO]
Not only has Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced an Apple iTunes and an Amazon.com S3 competitor this past week, they are now challenging Apple TV too. Google’s new product will be called Google TV as announced at the Google I/O conference.
