Google Inc (GOOGL): Gmail for Android passes 1 billion installations

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) exec Sundar Pichai has announced that the Gmail app for Android has passed the 1 billion download mark. The app surpassed the 1 billion range a couple of days ago. Gmail is the first app to cross the milestone if you don’t count the Google Play services app.


Google Inc (GOOGL) receives new anti-competition complaint in EU by Open Internet Project

The European Commission is investigating a case against Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) again. The EU alleges Google is abusing its dominant market position to promote its own services to stifle competition. Representing 400 EU startups, online publishers, consumer associations, and digital rights groups, The Open Internet Project (OIP) is the organization behind the complaint. The Commission will look into the complaint before deciding if an investigation is warranted.

Google has started to sell Google Glass again. Last month, Google sold Google Glass for one single day. And yesterday, Google said that the face-mounted device is available to consumers again. Glass was initially only available for developers and then the program was expanded to include non-developers. Early adopters of Google Glass are known as “Google Glass Explorers.”

Google updates iOS app to integrate “smarter conversations” into Voice Search

Apple employee admits iPhone often won’t deliver texts when you switch to Android

If you have switched from the Apple iPhone to Google Android, you may notice that you receive messages later or never at all. An Apple customer support employee has now acknowledged that “a lot” of users are having this problem. There does not seem to be any kind of fix either.
