GoPro has announced the new Hero3+ series, which is an update to the Hero3 cameras.  The Hero3 launched around a year ago.  The Hero3+ will be available starting today and it will be available in three models.  The Black Edition costs $399, the Silver Edition costs $299, and the White Edition costs $199.

The GoPRO HERO3 Can Capture 1440p at 48fps

Recently GoPro unveiled the HERO3 rugged camera.  The HERO3 is 30% smaller, 25% lighter, and it is 2 times more powerful than the previous version.  The HERO3 has mountable gear that is waterproof up to 180 feet.  The HERO3 can capture video at 1440p 48fps, 1080p at 60fps, and 720p at 120fps.  The camera has 12 megapixel photo capturing at 30 photos per second.  The GoPRO HERO3 has time-lapse photo modes and a continuous 12 megapixel stills feature at 3, 5, or 10 photos per second with up to 30 photos at any time.  The GoPro HERO3 has WiFi, compatibility with the GoPro App, and a WiFi remote.  The audio system built into the camera has a wind-noise reduction system to make it crisp and clear.
