Nutanix receives $101 million in funding

Nutanix is a company that offers computer and storage infrastructure for enterprise-class virtualization without requiring expensive network storage. The company has raised $101 million in funding at a $1 billion valuation. Nutanix has raised $172.2 million in four rounds of funding. Nutanix works closely with Fusion-io to offer a hardware box for corporate data centers, according to BusinessInsider. If one of the boxes needs more power, another one can be attached to it. Nutanix did does not disclose their annual revenues, but they have hit $100 million in lifetime sales since starting in 2009. This round of funding was led by Riverwood Capital and SAP Ventures. Other investors that participated were Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and Greenspring Associates.

Cloud Sherpas Raises $40 Million, Acquires Cloudtrigger

Cloud brokerage service Cloud Sherpas has raised $40 million in funding.  The company has also made their eighth acquisition.  This round of funding was led by Greenspring Associates and the company has raised a total of $62.6 million thus far.  Columbia Capital and Delta-V Capital are existing investors that joined this round.  Australian institutional investor Queensland Investment Corporation participated in this round of funding also.

CoTweet Parent Company ExactTarget Raises $30 Million


ExactTarget has raised $30 million in a new round of funding to fund acquisitions and to expand operations. ExactTarget is an e-mail marketing company that acquired CoTweet in 2009. ExactTarget raised $70 million in May 2009. ExactTarget’s revenues increased 41% to $134 million in 2010. ExactTarget was initially planning on going IPO in late 2007, but decided to raise funding instead. The latest round of funding was led by Technology Crossover Ventures. Battery Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, and Greenspring Associates also participated in this round. [paidContent]

Turn.com Raises $20 Million


Turn.com is an ad technology company that has raised $20 million in funding. This brings the company’s total funding to $57 million. This round is the fourth and it was led by Greenspring Associates. Turn plans to use the funding to expand in Europe. Other existing investors that participated in this round include Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital, Shasta Ventures, and Focus Ventures.
