How Alexander Welch Was Arrested For Using An App
Alexander Welch is a 20 year old kid that lives in Boise, Idaho. He downloaded an application on his smartphone that emulates the police blue and red light flashes. He used this app to pull a car over as a prank, not knowing whether it would work. The car pulled over and Welch drove away from the scene.

Jose Perez Sold A Car On Craigslist And Then Stole It Back [HALL OF SHAME]
A Brooklyn man named Jose Perez, 22, went on Craigslist and put a salvaged vehicle up for sale. The car was a 2004 Nissan Maxima and he used the title from another vehicle to forge the title for the Maxima. Perez also used a different name on the title and bill of sale.

Joshua Seal Kidnaps His Son-In-Law Allen Begley, But Trades Him For An Xbox 360 [HALL OF SHAME]
Here’s an interesting story: Joshua Seal had recently kidnapped his employee Allen Begley, who is also his son-in-law. Seal thought that Begley stole $245 worth of rings from a job site, which would negatively effect his business.

Israeli Woman Gets Caught Trying To Smuggle 44 iPhones On An Airplane [HALL OF SHAME]
At the Ben-Gurion International Airport, an Israeli woman was caught trying to smuggle 44 iPhone devices under her clothes. She even stuffed some of them in her stockings. The woman was in her 60′s and was returning from London. The full-body scanners detected the 44 phones under her clothes, which happened to be a traditional Georgian outfit. She looked like she was walking with difficulty so that is how she got the attention from Customs. Looks like we have another Hall of Shame here.

Guy Stabbed For Not Letting His Girlfriend See His Facebook Page [HALL OF SHAME]
Indiana resident Shemicka McVey (21) wanted to see the Facebook page of her boyfriend Maurice Davenport (22) but this led to a fight that involves a stabbing. Davenport closed the lid of the laptop and punched McVey in the head. McVey said she “accidentally” cut Davenport with a knife. No charges have been filed and the two have a daughter with each other. I put this one in the Hall of Fame because fights should not be caused because of a Facebook profile page. [Jezebel]

Gregory Sanchez Attempts To Rob Bank Dressed As Darth Vader With Pink Hospital Scrubs [HALL OF SHAME]
What happens when you dress up like Darth Vader and wear pink hospital scrubs then go out and try to rob a bank in a grocery store? You end up in the Pulse2.com Hall of Shame. Gregory Sanchez dressed up in the aforementioned outfit and tried to rob a Bank of America branch within the same Albertsons grocery store that he worked at as a “courtesy clerk.” Sanchez had a hatchet, a black wig, and gloves too. “The robber’s elaborate disguise did not keep from getting caught later on,” stated Captain Mike Parker. The crime took place in the 19000 block of Colima Road in Los Angeles. Sanchez is being held on a $100,000 bail. [LA Times]

Jerome Taylor Attempts To Rob Indian Restaurant With An iPhone [HALL OF SHAME]
Jerome Taylor is a 20 year old that walked into the Northern Indian restaurant in New London, Connecticut and tried to rob it with an iPhone. Taylor believed that his iPhone looked enough like a small handgun so that he could demand money from the cooks. Except the cooks at the restaurant pulled out knives in defense and refused to give away any money. Scared by the cooks, Jerome told them that he was just kidding and said that he needed money for his child. He ran off before police got there, but eventually he was arrested. The restaurant decided not to press charges against Jerome because they felt bad for him. I’m putting Jerome in the “Hall of Shame.” [Gizmodo]

Marque Gumbs was a receiving clerk at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Gumbs was paid $37,000 per year in salary. But he was able to embezzle $3.8 million using an interesting scheme.

Ohio Man Reports His Own Amazon.com Package To The Police [HALL OF SHAME]
Leave it to a man in Ohio to report a suspicious package that he ordered to the police. A guy in Hudson, Ohio called the local police department about a suspicious package on his doorstep. The police officer said that the package was labeled Amazon.com. He asked the man whether he ordered anything from Amazon.com recently. The man said “Why yes, I did.” The officer told the man his order has arrived and then he left. I’m putting this under a new tag called the Hall of Shame. [Reddit]
