AT&T is going to get the HTC Touch Pro2 on their network starting next month. Only in this case, they are calling it the Tilt 2. The exact date of release is October 18 according to Boy Genius Report. The phone is expected to be powered by the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. Verizon is selling the Touch Pro2 for $199 after contract and rebates while Sprint is selling it for $349.99 after contract and rebates. My guess is that AT&T will match Verizon’s price since they can afford to subsidize high-end phones as proven by the iPhone.

Sprint is selling the HTC Touch Pro2 for $349.99. The Touch Pro2 is a top-notch smart-phone but Sprint is not making it easy for their customers to get a hold of it. The $349.99 price that Sprint is selling the Touch Pro2 for is after rebates and two year contract. Verizon on the other hand is selling the HTC Touch Pro2 for $199.99 after two year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. Perhaps if Deutsche Telekom ends up buying Sprint, they can teach them a thing or two about having lower prices.

Rumor has it that the HTC Touch Pro2 may hit the retail shelves in the middle of June. This may be bad timing since the Pre is arriving on June 6th so Sprint customers may be more inclined to pick up that multi-touch device with their own app store.
The Touch Pro2 has a 3.6″ TFT-LCD touch screen display with 480×800 WVGA resolution, an adjustable tilt screen, WinMo 6.1 O/S, Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, a zoom bar and TouchFLO 3D device controls, slide out 5 row QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth and WiFi, and 3.2 megapixel camera.
