Infosys Technologies Limited (NASDAQ:INFY) has created a Digital Smart Home Gateway to link multiple home devices. The Smart Home Gateway is powered with an Intel Atom processor E600 series. Infosys Technologies Limited (NASDAQ:INFY) announced earlier this week that they plan to double their work force in the United States and plans to make acquisitions in Europe and Japan in the near future. Infosys is the second large software development company based on revenue behind Tata Consultancy Services, Ltd. The company will hire about 1,000 more people in the U.S. stated CEO S. Gopalakrishnan.

The company has about 1,200 employees. The total number of employees that the company has is about 105,453, many of whom are India where the company is based. About 66% of Infosys’ revenue is from clients in the U.S.

For new college graduates, Infosys spends nearly 6 months training them at their Mysore in the state of Karnataka in India. I worked at that campus for several months and learned a good amount of programming in July 2006. Infosys was my first job out of Michigan State.
