Bernard Madoff, the Chairman of Madoff Investment Securities that was involved in a $50 billion Ponzi scheme will start seeing goods bearing his name selling on eBay.  Some of the goods include beach towels, beach chairs, cigar humidors, hats, t-shirts, tote bags, and fleece jackets.

“I find these things and then I resell them,” stated John Mitchell an eBay user from Fox Grove, Illinois. Mitchell bought the cigar humidor from the supplier before it was sent to Madoff’s company.  Mitchell also made a good amount of money in selling Lehman Brothers goods when the financial company filed for bankruptcy.  Many Lehman Brothers goods are still selling on eBay.

There are many interesting pieces of Madoff flair going for sale on eBay.  A large sized fleece jacket currently has 22 bids with a current bid of $510.  A paperweight commemorating Madoff’s first ESI trade has over 10 bids selling at over $100.  One guy is even trying to sell the domain name BernieMadoff.com for $10,000.  Another anonymous user is selling a Madoff branded emergency kit that contains maps, an Air Filter mask, a Whistle, a First Aid kit, wipes, an emergency blanket, a glow stick, and a water pack.
