Former Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky has finally made an announcement about his upcoming technology news site. He’s been building a base of writers and editors, and early this morning he finally announced the project’s name: The Verge. Engadget Editor-In-Chief Josh Topolsky and Managing Editor Nilay Patel Leave AOL

Joshua Topolsky, the editor-in-chief, and Nilay Patel, Managing Editor, have stepped down from AOL and will no longer write for Engadget.com. After leaving AOL, Patel and Topolsky will be back in the tech news scene in some form. “I’m not leaving the industry or the news game–in fact, I’ve got a few fantasy projects in mind that hopefully you’ll be hearing about soon,” said Topolsky.
