You may remember how Karen Klein was extremely bullied by a few kids on a school bus for around 15 minutes.  She was hit, taunted, and even told that her family should “kill themselves.”  After the video went on the Internet Max Sidorov started a charity campaign to send Klein on a nice vacation.  Rather than raising a small amount, the Internet donated $700,000+ to her.  Klein retired since then and started an anti-bullying foundation.  The kids that taunted her were suspended.

Karen Klein Uses Donation Money To Start Anti-Bullying Foundation

When I first wrote about Karen Klein in June, she was receiving a tremendous amount of support from the 4chan, Reddit, and Indiegogo community.  She ended up raising over $400,000 in donations and Southwest Airlines gave her family a free trip to Disney Land, all expenses paid.  The bullies that bashed on her for over 15 minutes on the bus were suspended and Klein retired shortly after.  Earlier this week it was announced that Klein is using $100,000 from the donations to start the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation.  The Foundation is starting their first campaign tour on October 5th in South Carolina as part of a multi-state “No Bully Tour.”  Klein will be joined by anti-bully advocate Miss Teen USA Logan West.

Bus Monitor Karen Klein Retires Following Outpour of Support From Internet Fans

Karen Klein is the 68-year old woman that was heavily bullied while monitoring on a bus.  The disturbing video of the bullying was uploaded on the Internet.  After being posted on Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter, Karen Klein ended up raising around $700,000. The goal for that fund-raiser was to simply pay for Klein to go on a vacation for a much smaller amount ($5,000) of money.  But given how much publicity the video received, a lot of money was raised.  Now Klein is retiring.

Karen Klein Bullies Get Suspended For A Year

Earlier this month, Internet activists were outraged when bus driver Karen Klein was verbally abused. The 10-minute verbal abuse incident was all captured on video. As a result, over $500,000 was raised for Klein. Southwest Airlines also gave her an all-expense paid trip to Disney Land for 10 people. The punishment of the four children has been determined. The four kids will be suspended for a year and will have to complete 50 hours of community service.

Southwest Airlines Gives Karen Klein Free Trip To Disney Land

The outpour of support for Karen Klein has been massive. On top of the roughly $400,000 she will be given through support from donators on Indiegogo.com, Southwest Airlines has also offered her a free trip to Disney Land including airfare and hotels. Karen Klein is a bus monitor that was the victim of verbal abuse by 4 kids for over 10 minutes. When a video was uploaded of the kids taunting her, it had been seen millions of times. Karen Klein Says That She Feels Sorry For The Kids That Bullied Her

Yesterday I wrote about how school bus monitor Karen Klein was verbally abused and today I updated the article about how Internet philanthropists have donated over $200,000. Students on the bus said all sorts of mean things like how she looked like a troll and how she did not have a family because they committed suicide. The video was seen over 1.5 million times. Throughout the course of the 10 minute video, she said it it took “a lot of will power” to sit through the teasing without raising her voice. She said “I’m not usually that calm.” The students that taunted her are under investigation, but their names have not been released because they are juveniles. They will not face disciplinary action until September when school was back in session.
