Udemy has raised $12 million in Series B funding led by Insight Venture Partners after surpassing 5,000 courses offered in their app. Other investors in this round include Lightbank, MHS Capital, and Learn Capital.
Chromatik is a digital music platform company that has recently launched a web and iPad applications to help users learn how to practice, record, and collaborate on music with friends. Chromatik raised $2 million in funding from pop artist Bruno Mars, Learn Capital, Kapor Capital, 500 Startups, Launchpad LA, MuckerLab and several other angel investors. Some of the angel investors that participated in this round are in the music industry like Jeff Ayeroff, Dr. Jennifer Snow, Ari Levine, Philip Lawrence, Stephano Kim, Brandon Creed, and Josh Levine.
