The San Francisco Bay Bridge Will Have A Light Show With 25,000 LEDs Coming In March

Leo Villareal is an artist that is putting together a light sculpture on the San Francisco Bay Bridge called The Bay Lights.  The bridge will have a 25,000 LEDs brightening it up.  Each light is programmed individually and people will be able to see patterns on the bridge from miles away.  The Bay Lights show will continue for 2 years and it is expected that around 50 million people will visit the bridge during that time.  The opening ceremony for The Bay Lights will take place on March 5th.  Below is a video of what the show will look like:

Multiverse by Leo Villareal Features 41,000 LED Lights In Tunnel Of National Gallery of Art In D.C.

Leo Villareal, an American artist put together a 41,000 LED display in a 200 ft. tunnel at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.  Each LED blinks at a random time to make sure that no one sees the same pattern.  This display will be available for anyone to see for all of 2009.  If you live on the East coast, I highly recommend checking it out.  For those who live in other parts, at least we can watch the video below:
