Disney acquired LucasFilm for $4 billion in October. After buying out Lucasfilm, Disney announced that they will be launching a new Star Wars movie. The working title for the movie is Star Wars Episode VII. George Lucas will not be directing though. Instead J.J. Abrams will be the director. The announcement was made on Friday night at midnight EST on StarWars.com.

Yesterday Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4 billion. Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to be released in 2015. George Lucas will be involved in the development of Episode VII as a consultant.
