CNN’s White House Correspondent Ed Henry convinced first lady Michelle Obama to send out her first tweet. She sent out her first tweet through his account @edhenrycnn between dessert and the comedy part of the dinner. Before Michelle sent out her first tweet, she had to get permission from White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to make sure that her staff wouldn’t feel like they were blindsided. Henry passed his iPhone to Michelle and had her send out a tweet using the Tweetie 2 application.
