Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 Download 2.3 Million Times In First 24 Hours
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Internet Explorer 9 has been downloaded 2.35 million times in the first 24 hours of release. That is over 27 downloads per second (240 downloads every 9 seconds). This is over double the 1 million downloads that IE9 Beta saw. [Windows Team Blog]
Microsoft Releases Internet Explorer 9 RC
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has released Internet Explorer 9 from beta phase. It is now in the RC stage and is available for donwload now. You can download the browser from www.beautyoftheweb.com. The browser comes preloaded with the Bing bar and it does not have as much clutter as Internet Explorer 8. IE9 has a feature called Pinned Sites, which can let you seperate a tabbed website and lock it into the Windows Taskbar as if it were a separate program. There is also a new feature called One Box, which allows the address bar to automatically find search results related to entered keywords from Bing.com inline without pulling up the website in the main pane. Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 Beta Downloaded 2 Million Times In 2 Days
Things are looking good for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) from the browser-front. Microsoft reported that 2 million people downloaded Internet Explorer 9 Beta in the first two days that it was available. When IE8 Beta was launched in August 2008, Microsoft recorded 1.3 million downloads in the first 5 days.

Microsoft IE9 Has HTML5 Integration
Earlier this week Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced Internet Explorer 9 in San Francisco. The browser has the fully hardware accelerated HTML5 experience built in to the new browser. CSS3 is also supported in the new browser.

IE9 Beats Chrome 6 In HTML5 Speed Test [VIDEO]
DownloadSquad did an HTML5 speed test on Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome 6. The results are staggering. Internet Explorer actually won… However IE9 is 30% slower than Chrome 6 and 10% faster than Firefox on the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark test.
