Microsoft Corporation recently announced their second quarter earnings. They posted a $6.63 billion profit on revenues of $19.95 billion. This is very comparable to their earnings from last year. Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) is replacing 25,000 BlackBerrys at their company with their own smartphones. They will also be launching an aggressive marketing campaign to convince companies to use Dell smartphones instead of BlackBerry devices. “Clearly in this decision we are competing with RIM, because we’re kicking them out,” stated Dell CFO Brian Gladden in an interview.
