Nokia Music Mix Party: Microsoft and Nokia’s Application To Let Friends Share Xbox Playlists

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team and Nokia Corporation has launched a new service called Nokia Music Mix Party. Here’s how it works: If you have an Xbox, open up Internet Explorer and type in Pick three artists and start your party playlist. From there, anyone at the party with a smartphone can scan the QR code and sync with the playlist Vote on the artist that you want to hear next. The track with the most vote wins. Nokia Music Mix Party will be free for usage during the month of July. It is unknown what the pricing will be after that. Below is a demo of how it works:

Xbox Music To Launch On The Web Today

Microsoft Corporation is launching Xbox Music on web browsers today.  Xbox Music Pass is now available on PCs, tablets, the Xbox 360, smartphones, and on the web.  All of your playlists will automatically stay in sync.  You can test out Xbox Music Pass for 30 days free.  You can access the service at  Microsoft Xbox Music launched back in October on the Xbox 360 game console, Windows Phone 8, and the Windows 8 operating system.  Some of the expected upcoming features of Xbox Music includes cloud storage for music that is not in the Xbox Music catalog and social features that lets you share music with friends and family.

Time Warner Cable To Add 300 TV Channels On Xbox 360

Today Microsoft Corporation has announced a deal with Time Warner Cable.  Time Warner Cable will be bringing over 300 of their TV channels to the Xbox 360.  Time Warner Cable subscribers with an Xbox Live Gold membership will gain access to hundreds of shows from their console.

Pizza Hut Launches An Xbox 360 App With Order Customization

Microsoft and Pizza Hut have worked together on launching an Xbox Live app that lets users order pizza directly from the Xbox 360 console.  The Xbox app shows Pizza Hut’s menu and lets users customize their toppings and sides.  The order can be put together using Kinect motion controls, voice commands, and the Xbox controller.  Users can also link their Xbox and accounts to save their order settings to make future orders faster and find deals at their local restaurants.
