Monster and EA Sports Partner To Launch MVP Carbon Gaming Headset Next Month

Monster and EA Sports have partnered with each other to create the gaming headset called the MVP Carbon.  The MVP Carbon is compatible with the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, and PCs.  Monster said that the headphones is their first venture into gaming accessories.  The MVP Carbon has simulated 5.1 surround sound (High Definition Headphone Surround) and it has 30MM drivers.  The MVP Carbon has an integrated microphone for chatting and it has a standalone headphone amplifier known as Gamebox.  The MVP Carbon will arrive next month for $269.95 in black and white.

Beats Electronics Not Renewing Partnership With Monster

Beats by Dr. Dre is a company that was founded in 2008 by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Beats by Dr. Dre is a brand of headphones and loud speakers and they worked closely with Monster Cable to manufacture to electronics. “Guys were making headphones that looked like medical equipment,” stated Iovine. Going forward, it appears that Beats by Dr. Dre will not be working with Monster due to financial disagreements.

Monster Cable Suing Monster Transmission, An Automotive Supplier

Monster Cable, a company that makes HDMI, audio, and video cables really likes their name. This is why they sued Monster Mini Golf with a claim that the small mini-golf franchise is violating their trademark. Monster Cable forced the Mini Golf company to pay $100 per franchise (about 22 locations at $2,200 total) and admit that Monster is the cable company’s trademark. Now Monster Cable is at it again by suing an automotive supplier company called Monster Transmission.

Monster Transmission is a small American company based in Florida. We all know how much of a financial position that the automotive supplier companies are in right now, don’t ya think? Like Engadget, we suggest finding cables from alternative companies that choose not to strong-arm companies with similar names.
