Ad agency Wieden+Kennedy has designed one of the most bad-ass and viral Nike commercials I have ever seen. In this video you’ll see Homer Simpson, Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Fabio Cannavaro, Franck Ribery, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Patrice Evra, Gerard Pique, Ronaldinho, Landon Donovan, Tim Howard and Thiago Silva, Roger Federer, and Kobe Bryant. This video has been spreading across the Twitosphere with over 1,000 retweets.
“This epic campaign really captures the scale, emotion and impact that one single moment in a football game can have on a player, fan or nation,” said Davide Grasso, NIKE, Vice President of Global Football Marketing. “This is just the beginning of the journey. The next stage allows everyone who loves football to engage and interact in an incredible way.”

It is incredible what computer-generated imagery can do for commercials. In this case Big Lazy Robot created an advertisement for Nike called “Exploit Yourself” and it features a robot wearing a hoodie and Nike sneakers while doing some parkour tricks.

Parkour is a technique in which you are able to get through obstacles in your path as one would do in an emergency. This involves jumping from steps on a building and climbing walls.

Big Lazy Robot has also done some work on the Transformers movie.

Rotundo, a reader at Kotaku has used about $40 in spare parts and two shoeboxes to build a couple of Nike shoe boxes into video game controllers. Rotundo bought a couple Happy joysticks and 14 buttons for $35. Then he took apart some Xbox controllers to wire the device together. The blue box above is actually wireless too.
