<p>Excellent news for Nokia fans in the U.S.  Sources at The Nokia Blog are reporting that the Nokia N86 mobile phone with an 8 megapixel camera will be arriving on August 22nd.  The device <a href="http://pulse2.com/2009/06/14/nokia-n86-now-available-for-purchase/">started shipping back in June</a> and was officially announced at Mobile World Congress in February.</p>
<p>Aside from the high-res camera, the phone also has 3G HSDPA/HSUPA connection, 2.6&#8243; OLED display with 240&#215;320 QVGA resolution.  The camera has autofocus and flash built in.  The price of the phone is going for $499.</p>

<p>The specs of the Nokia N86 was <a href="http://pulse2.com/2009/02/21/nokias-n86-boasts-a-built-in-8-megapixel-camera/">announced back in February</a>.  One of the biggest highlights of the phone is the speed that they were able to get it to the market.  Within two months, the N86 was announced, passed through the FCC, and hit retail shelves. The phone boasts an 8 megapixel camera and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.  There is also 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot.  The camera on the phone has a mechanical shutter, variable aperture, and a dual-LED flash.  There is also an FM transmitter, WiFi, Bluetooth support, and video-out capabilities.</p>
<p>The price of the phone unlocked is $524 unlocked.  The cost of the North American version of the phone with subsidies is not yet known.</p>

<p>It supports MP3, WMA, and AAC playback.  The weight is about 149g.  It also has Bluetooth and GPS support.  Additional details will be added to this post as they come in.</p>
