Pat Trueman, the former Chief of the U.S. Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section said that ICANN’s decision on .xxx domain names was “foolish and unnecessary.” Trueman also worked with Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush at the Justice Department. ICANN approved the .xxx top level domain name for websites related to pornography.
