Pebble launches app store called watchapp directory

Pebble has updated their iOS app to include the watchapp directory, which has 1,000 apps and watch faces at launch. The watchapp directory is split between faces and apps. The apps are distributed across six categories such as games, fitness, and tools and utilities.

Pebble has announced a new product called the Steel. The Steel smartwatch has a stainless steel body and Gorilla Glass. The Pebble Steel is available in black matte and a brushed stainless steel. You can order the Pebble Steel from their website for a price of $249. The Steel is going to start shipping on January 28th.

Pebble smartwatch is on sale for $120 at Amazon.com and Best Buy

The Pebble smartwatch device has received a price drop this holiday season. The price of the Pebble is now $120 at Amazon.com and Best Buy. This is $30 off from the standard $150 price tag. It is unknown how long this deal will last so I recommend that you act fast if you want a Pebble. The sale is applied towards the black and red version of the device. The Pebble smartwatch was one of the first successful gadgets to get crowd-funded on Kickstarter by hitting over $10 million with a goal of $100,000.

Pebble’s iOS App Now Has Custom E-Mail Notifications

Pebble Technology has updated their iOS app to support e-mail notifications.  The smart-watch has been supporting e-mail notifications on Android for a while now, but it was rather difficult to get it to work on iOS.  Pebble was able to find a way to push customized e-mail alerts from Gmail and general IMAP services to the smart-watch product though.

Best Buy To Start Selling Pebble Watch On July 7th

will exclusively start selling the smartwatch product developed by Pebble Technology.  On top of being one of the first companies to bring a smartwatch to the market, Pebble is also well known for raising a record $10.2 million on crowd-funding website Kickstarter.com.  The watch will cost $150 and it will be compatible with Apple iOS and Google Android.  The Pebble is already available on the Best Buy and Pebble website.
