Angry Birds Sees 500 Million Downloads


Rovio’s Angry Birds has reached a major milestone. The company has hit 500 million downloads in under 2 years since the game launched. Angry Birds is a mobile game where players uses a slingshot to throw birds at pigs that stole their eggs. Angry Birds has stayed at the top of the charts since they launched for the Apple iPhone on December 11, 2009.

Angry Birds Is Coming To Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii


After being downloaded 36 million times on the iPhone and Android, Angry Birds is now coming to gaming consoles. Rovio developers are working on Angry Birds for the Microsft Xbox 360, Sony PS3, and the Nintendo Wii. Rovio Planning To Release Angry Birds For Xbox Live and The Wii


Rovio Mobile has announced that they are planning to launch Angry Birds for the Nintendo Wii and the Microsoft Xbox 360 through the Xbox Live service. Rovio made the announcement at a conference in London as reported by Pocketgamer. Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka reported that there will not be an Angry Birds 2, but he hinted that there may be a game that has something to do with the pigs’ perspective. [Kotaku]
