PubMatic offers an ad management system that coordinates between the various advertising networks like Google AdSense, Value Click, and Yahoo! Publisher Network.  The service communicates with the different advertising networks through the use of APIs connected into PubMatic’s ad management system.  The ad management gives the user the option to view a central dashboard for tracking all their advertising networks, the highest paying networks, where advertising clicks are coming from, and what advertisement layouts are most optimal.

PubMatic currently has 1,500 users.  The company is based in Mumbai, India.  The investment will be used for building a bigger user base.

The vulnerable side of the PubMatic is that they are depending highly on the APIs provided by the advertising networks.  If for any reason, the advertising network decides to block users from accessing data through PubMatic, then the value of the service is lost.
