PULSE2 APPLICATION GREEK GODS IS AN APPLE STAFF FAVORITE!

Shan Sadiq and I started working on Pulse2 as a full time business in June 2008. Since then our business has grown in leaps and bounds. Pulse2.com has been our primary revenue source up until we started designing iPhone applications. We started designing iPhone applications in January 2009. And one of the latest developments regarding that aspect of our business is that Apple has decided to feature our Greek Gods application [iTunes link] as a Staff Favorite within the Education section. Now Greek Gods is a top 10 application within the Education category of iTunes.

Greek Gods is an application that has a database of all the Greek Gods and a description of them. There is a description of over 600 Greek Gods in our database. To navigate around the application, there is an intuitive wheel-based user interface. There is also a feature that allows you to bookmark Greek Gods. Search is built into the application too. A majority of our customer ratings for this iPhone application is 5 out of 5 stars.

Some of the features that we plan to add to this application in the form of updates include improved search, categorized Greek Gods, and Greek Gods quizzes. We also plan to increase the database size of the application so that Greek heroes are also included. This application is extremely useful for those who take humanities and art classes for school or if you have a keen interest in mythology.

One of the customers that reviewed Greek Gods said “Awesome resource for my World Mythology class. Allows me to understand the motives of the Gods.” We highly recommend that you check out our application and we appreciate Apple for helping us promote this application. Pulse 2.0: Now Hiring Writers

Pulse 2.0 is looking for a few writers interested in publishing news about Internet companies and social networks from around the world. Pulse 2.0 focuses on social network updates, startups, Silicon Valley gossip, technology funding, mergers & acquisitions, and general business. Writers must work fast, accurate, and focus on topics that readers are interested in. Writers must also have strong interpersonal skills and must be willing to work in a rewarding and challenging environment.

Pulse 2.0 will be paying on a per blog basis. Depending on performance, the pay per blog post will gradually increase. Also send how many hours you spend online and the instant messaging software you use.

Happy New Years / Explanation Of The New Pulse 2.0 Look

Currently there are three individuals involved with Pulse 2.0.Â Amit Chowdhry, Mo Kakwan, and Shan Sadiq.Â We’ve pretty much been a team and worked with each other on various web projects since 1999.Â We spent 3-4 hours yesterday planning on how we should give Pulse2.com a new look.

First thing we knew is that we wanted it to be simple and unique from other existing technology blogs with a major focus on content.Â Â The white background and the navigation at the very top symbolized the simplicity of the new look.Â One of the unique aspects of the site is that we’ve dropped the author title for each blog post.Â This is because that we figure that it doesn’t matter who wrote the article, what matters is the content!Â

When we read an articleÂ from TechCrunch or GigaOm or Mashable or Profy or ReadWriteWeb or paidContent, we just care about the information that is on each blog post and don’t pay much attention to who actually wrote the article.Â This is the same case for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.Â The name is always there.Â We decided that we want to make a goal for 2008 to increase the amount of content on Pulse 2.0.

Shan is very skilled at using AJAX, JavaScript, MySQL and other web technologiesÂ and he wants to use his knowledge to create some sort of free flow of information within Pulse 2.0 by putting sample scripts.Â We hope to fully deploy this feature shortly.Â

The logo change is currently just a placeholder for now.Â We may change it within a couple weeks.Â And lastly, we encourage any feedback that you may have.Â Thanks for reading and have a great year!
