iSites is a service that allows web publishing companies to quickly build iPhone and Android applications. iSites raised $1 million in funding led by Inventus Capital Partners, Quest Venture Partners, Dougery Ventures, Manish Chandra, and several other angel investors.

iSites launched in January and helps publishers create simple mobile applications, which includes creating logos, graphics, and RSS feeds. iSites even handles the submission process and integrates an optional analytics service. The applications work on the Android Market and the Apple App Store.

iSites has a new product called Instant App, which allows publishers to create mobile applications using HTML5 and Webtoolkit. iSites was co-founded by Raju Sagiraju. The mobile web service costs $10 per month (or discounted at $100 per year). The native app creation costs $50 for the iPhone or Android.

Ifeelgoods is a new start-up that aims to help traditional retailers get into the social gaming and virtual goods market. Ifeelgoods was created by Michael Amar and Scott Silverman. Ifeelgoods essentially makes retail promotions less expensive and more effective by distributing virtual goods and currencies for popular social games. These virtual goods can essentially replace coupon codes, gifts with purchase, and discounts.

“In retail, incentives and promotions are critical sales tools – especially in the current economic environment – but, they are one-size-fits-all and can be very expensive,” stated Ifeelgoods CEO and co-founder Michael Amar in a press release. “As social networks and social games become even more integral in people’s daily interactions and personal relationships, it’s evident that retailers who learn how to capitalize on these trends will have a powerful advantage over their competition.”

Ifeelgoods has an impressive business model and has been able to attract $1.1 million in funding from prominent investors such as Tugboat Ventures, Quest Venture Partners, and Kima Ventures. Angel investors Iggy Fanlo (Adbrite CEO), Vincent Worms, Nicolas El Blaze (Partech International), and David Scacco (MyLikes) also participated in the funding.

Retailers can manage their own virtual good promotions and redemptions through Ifeelgoods’ hosted solutions. Ifeelgoods has partnered with social game publishers to make virtual goods and currencies available to retails as an incentive for customers.

Below is a list of other executives at Ifeelgoods:
Dimitri Ducourtieux – COO/VP of Europe
Suchit Dash – VP of Product/former PayPal Senior Manager
Vida Ha – Lead Engineer/former senior engineer at Google

Qik is a live video recording service that work with Amoi, AT&T, BlackBerry, DoCoMo, Dopod, HTC, iMate, Motorola, Nokia, O2, Orange, Palm, Qtek, Samsung, Softbank, Sony Ericsson, Sprint, Swisscom, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Vodafone mobile phones. Now that the Apple iPhone has video recording capabilities, it would not be a surprise if Qik designs an iPhone application. Qik has recently raised $5.5 million in funding from Quest Venture Partners and CampVentures.

As a result of the funding Marcus Ogawa of Quest joined the Qik board of directors and Justin Camp of CampVentures became a board observer. The company raised about $9.5 million in total funding so far. Other investors include Marc Benioff, Arjun Gupta, George Garrick, Marc Andreessen, and Ben Horowitz. Qik is based in Redwood City, California and has about 38 employees.

“We as a society continue to ravenously consume engagement media. I feel strongly that mobile video is on the cusp of exploding into the mainstream. I believe Qik, with its support for many different mobile platforms and engagement options, is poised to lead this charge,” stated Marcus Ogawa of Quest.
