Qunar.com is a Chinese travel search website that is partially owned by Baidu Inc. Qunar is planning to have an IPO in the U.S. as they believe that consumer demand for their services will continuously increase. Qunar.com’s revenue is expected to double this year. Qunar broke even in 2010 and sales more than doubled to “a few hundred million” yuan stated Qunar.com CEO CC Zhuang.

Chinese venture capital company GSR Ventures has raised a fund of $350 million to invest in Chinese startup companies. This is GSR Venture’s fourth venture fund, and it was secured in 6 weeks, mostly from existing investors. The company’s last fund was also for $350 million, a stability that TechCrunch reports is favored by the company; GSR’s Richard Lim said in an interview, “We have the same strategy, the same team and expect the same nice results.”

Qunar is a Chinese travel search engine company that has raised $15 million from GGV Capital, Mayfield Fund, GSR Ventures, and Tenaya Capital. This round of funding occurred shortly after TripAdvisor acquired Kuxun.cn for $12 million. Qunar will be using the funding for marketing, branding, and other developments.
