<p>Qype currently has reviews for bars, hotels, and events around Berlin, Ireland, France, and the U.K., etc.&nbsp; Qype was started by Stephan Uhrenbacher.&nbsp; The site launched in Hamburg  in 2005 and then expanded to Germany Switzerland, and Austria by 2007.&nbsp; The site receives over 5.1 million unique visitors per month and has over 250,000 public reviews according to <a href="http://uk.techcrunch.com/2008/09/15/qype-secures-e8m-in-new-round/">TechCrunch U.K.</a>&nbsp; </p>
<p>Through the funding, Qype brought Pelle Tornberg and Eric Archambeau on as non-executive board members.&nbsp; Tornberg was <font class="deck">Metro International&#8217;s President and CEO.&nbsp; </font>Archambeau is a partner at Wellington. <!--/DECK--></p>
