Retail store company Kohl’s has created a new commercial that parodies the song “Friday” by Rebecca Black. Rebecca Black became a YouTube celebrity overnight when her song spread rapidly on social media websites. I never really like Rebecca Black’s song and now I dislike it even more after Kohl’s created the parody.

Rebecca Black’s New Song “My Moment” Surges Past 10 Million YouTube Views
Rebecca Black is a 14 year old girl that shot to fame when her mother paid $4,000 to have a single and music video put out as a vanity release through the record label ARK Music Factory. The song was called “Friday” and it hit over 160 million YouTube views after it spread on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter. “Friday” has been highly criticized as “the worst song ever.”

Rebecca Black’s Music Video “Friday” Surpasses 100 Million YouTube Views
What do Rebecca Black and Lady Gaga have in common? Both of them are part of the 100+ million view club on YouTube. Rebecca Black’s hit song “Friday” has surpassed 100 million YouTube views within the last 24 hours. Black has beaten Justin Bieber’s music video “Baby” in hitting 100 million YouTube views. It took “Friday” one month and it took Bieber two month and eight days. “Black’s video exists as both a standard viral clip and a music video with some staying power, which could account for its longer tail,” stated YouTube. Ark Music Factory produced “Friday” for Black.

Rebecca Black’s Friday Music Video Surpasses 30 Million YouTube Views
Rebecca Black is a 13 year old girl known for creating a song called “Friday.” It is being dubbed the “worst song ever,” but the video has been watched over 30 million times on YouTube. The song was uploaded by Ark Music Factory, a Los Angeles based music company hired by Black’s parents to produce the song. Some of the song’s lyrics are “yesterday was Thursday Thursday, today it is Friday Friday” and “tomorrow is Saturday, and Sunday comes afterwards.” The song was uploaded on February 10th.
