Movie director James Cameron has joined Twitter after having a chat with Ryan Seacrest about it. Cameron’s first tweet was “ryan seacrest told me I had to get on Twitter. So here I am. First tweet. I feel younger already.”
R&B singer Alicia Keys has convinced some of her celebrity friends to quit Twitter and Facebook for a charity called Keep a Child Alive that would benefit families affected by HIV/AIDs across Africa and India.
Ryan Seacrest sent out a message at 8:43PM on Wednesday before American Idol started to his 3 million-plus Twitter followers. He wrote “Packed radio show tomorrow…got tonight’s voted-off idol lacey brown.” The problem is that American Idol fans did not know that Lacey was going to be voted off yet.
That episode was given a 6.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic which was one of the lowest among Idol’s regularly scheduled broadcasts. Was it because of Seacrest’s tweets? Possibly. [Variety]
At the 1:50 minute mark in the video above, Robert Pattinson is handed a gift bag with Bing written on it. Pattinson had no idea what the Microsoft search engine was. The event took place at the Westwood red carpet film premiere which was being sponsored by Microsoft. At the time of the question Pattinson was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest.
Ben Stiller loves using Twitter as you can tell by the videos he’s been pumping out through Red Hour Studios. Stiller previously talked about Twitter with Mickey Rooney and now he’s talking to Ryan Seacrest about it.
In this video, Stiller asks Seacrest to give him a shout out on Twitter in an effort to gain more followers.
Seacrest has about 1.9 million followers and Stiller has about 150,000. Seacrest said that he’d be willing to do it for money and that he “doesn’t even talk to anybody that has less than 900,000 followers.” When Stiller first announced Red Hour studios on YouTube, he introduced his family.
