Apple and Samsung Lawyers Agree To Meet In Order To Settle
Apple and Samsung are in the middle of a heated patent battle, but the two sides have decided to meet in order to try and make a settlement. According to a court filing, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung CEO Gee-Sung Choi will participate in a settlement conference that will be overseen by U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero. This is not an indication that a resolution will be made, but this could lead to the two companies making their peace.

RUMOR: Samsung Galaxy S III Will Be Official Smartphone Of 2012 Summer Olympics
Samsung is getting ready to announce the Galaxy S III. What we know now is that the Samsung is expected to have a huge international roll-out and it will be the official device of the 2012 Summer Olympics. This is the reason why Samsung is expected to announce the device in London with simultaneous events happening in New York City, Seoul, and Dubai according to sources with BGR. The Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to come in two color options, black/blue and white. The phone will come in 16GB and 32GB models as well. Additional specs include 1080p HD display, quad-core Exynos processor, and integrated 4G LTE.

Samsung Galaxy III Likely To Be Introduced On May 3
Samsung Electronics has announced an event that will be taking place on May 3rd. The tagline for the event says “come and meet the next Galaxy” at an event being held in London next month. Samsung decided not to launch their handset at Mobile World Congress intentionally.

Samsung Espresso 10 and Espresso 7 Tablets Expected This June
The Samsung Espresso 10 and Espresso 7 tablets are expected to be released this June. The tablets will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. We do not know much about the other details, but rumor has it that these tablets will have quad-core Exynos processors. The Espresso 10 will likely have the Full HD (1920×1200) resolution touchscreen display and the Espresso 7 will most likely have an AMOLED 1280×800 resolution touchscreen.
Samsung Believed To Be The World’s Biggest Phone Maker Now
Yesterday Nokia reported that they sold only 83 million mobile phones in Q1, which is 27% down compared to their total sales of 113.5 million phones in Q4 2011. Now it is believed that Samsung is the world’s largest phone maker. As Nokia declines, Samsung has been growing.

Samsung Announces Details About Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and Galaxy Player 4.2
Office Depot Temporarily Declares Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Retail Price
Even though the official launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is unknown, Office Depot temporarily had the tablet listed on their website. The Tab 2 was listed with a $399.99 price tag for an 8GB WiFi model. Samsung still needs more time to tweak the TouchWiz for Ice Cream Sandwich according to a spokesperson before deciding the launch date.

Tim Cook Planning To Settle Patent Fight Against Samsung
Top Apple executives are meeting with top Samsung executives to settle their patent fight. This is a different stance than the late Apple CEO when he said he wanted to go “thermonuclear” with Android.

German Court Dismisses Two Cases Between Apple And Samsung
A court in Germany has dismissed two cases filed by Apple against Samsung. The decision was made by a regional court in Mannheim. Apple was claiming that Samsung infringed on their slide-to-lock technology as well as one of three patents Samsung claimed Apple violated. These two cases are one of several patent disputes between the two electronics giants.

Samsung Galaxy S III Specs Get Revealed
At Mobile World Congress, Samsung Electronics has launched a new Android phone known as the Samsung Galaxy S III specs. Although it is currently unknown which carriers will be getting their hands on the S III, we do know that the phone is packing some powerful hardware. The specs include a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 8 megapixel rear camera, 4G LTE, Android 4.0 operating system, and a ceramic case.
