Social Gaming Company Myotopia Acquired For $18 Million

888 Holdings has acquired social gaming company Myotopia for $18 million. Myotopia has developed several successful Facebook games such as Bingo Island 2 and Pacific Poker. Myotopia also developed games for mobile platforms such as the iPhone and Android. If Myotopia hits several milestones by 2011, the acquisition price could hit $48 million. Giiv Raises $3.35M From Eric Schmidt and Other VCs

Mobile gift start-up company Giiv has raised $3.35 million in Series A from investors that include Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO Eric Schmidt, Saban Ventures, Founder Collective, and SK Telecom Ventures. Schmidt invested in Giiv through his seed fund company TomorrowVentures. Giiv’s mobile gifting service works through text messages, a Facebook application, and an iPhone application. The text messages have a redemption code for store credits. [TechCrunch]
