Wireless streaming music service, Sonos, has updated their Android application to support music streaming applications Slacker and Spotify. The Sonos System Software version 3.6 also adds Sonos Wireless HiFi, and support for Android tablets running 2.2. or higher. Below is the press release:

Online radio company Slacker.com has raised $3 million in debt financing according to an SEC filing. They plan on using the funding to scale their business. Slacker plans to leveraging automotive and mobile partnerships this year. Supposedly Slacker has a deal with Audi in place. Slacker has mobile apps for BlackBerry, iOS, Android, Palm, webOS, and Windows Phone 7. Premium subscriptions with Slacker cost $4.99 per month or $3.99 per month on an annual basis. [TechCrunch]

Dennis Mudd has stepped down as the CEO of Slacker over the weekend.  However Mudd will remain on the B.O.D.  Mudd stepped down so he could spend more time with his family.  His daily tasks will be passed on to Jim Cady, the current COO and President of Slacker.

Mudd previously founded Musicmatch Jukebox, a company that Yahoo! bought for $160 million in 2004.  Slacker raised $70 million in VC funding since the company started.  Investors in Slacker include Austin Ventures, Mission Ventures, Rho Ventures, Centennial Ventures, and Sevin Rosen Funds.

Slacker designs a portable music player device.  Slacker has BlackBerry and iPhone applications but they have quite a bit of competition.
