The Sony Xperia Play, also known as the PlayStation phone, will be available in the United Kingdom on March 31st. The Xperia Play will have six games pre-installed and can be bought from “all the mobile operators and retailers.” [Engadget]

Sony Corporation has revealed the Xperia Play, also known as the “Playstation phone” at the Mobile World Congress conference. The phone is debuting in the early spring and is heading to Verizon. Over 20 publishers are working on games for the device. The PlayStation 1 game Ridge Racer will come with the device. Other games making its way to the phone include Assassin’s Creed, FIFA, Dead Space, Guitar Hero, and FIFA. The Xperia Play will be available in black and white, has a 5.1-megapixel camera, 400MB of in-phone memory, 8GB microSD memory card, Android 2.3 support, and 5.5 hours of battery life. [Forbes]

Some photos of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play PlayStation phone have been leaked by Chinese gadget blog IT168.
