Vidyo Raises Another $11.5 Million For Videoconferencing Solutions
Vidyo is a video conferencing company that has raised $11.5 million in funding. The company now has a total of $73.5 million and they raised $25 million less than a year ago. Vidyo lets multiple people talk in one video conference with HD quality through IP networks. Vidyo also lets you use the H.264 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) standard. Vidyo powers video for Google Chat and licenses its technology to HP, Intel, and Hitachi. Vidyo CEO Ofer Shapiro said that the company is adding its video technology to the iPad and iPhone. Menlo Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, Star Ventures, Four Rivers Group, and Rho Capital Ventures participated in this round of funding.
Vidyo Raises $25 Million From Four Rivers, Rho, Sevin Rosen, and Star Ventures
Video conferencing company Vidyo has raised $25 million in Series C funding led by Four Rivers Group, Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, and Star Ventures. Vidyo has raised a total of $63 million since they started in 2005. About a year ago Vidyo raised $15 million. The additional funding will go towards expanding their sales and marketing efforts.
