A Bridge Delivered from stephen mallon on Vimeo.

Stephen Mallon has filmed a timelapse video of the Willis Avenue Bridge getting replaced. The new bridge connects Harlem and the Bronx over the Harlem River. The new bridge weighs 2,400 tons and was shipped about 136 miles on a couple of barges welded together. The bridge was completed on October 2, 2010, and cost more than double the original estimate. Specifically, this bridge cost about $612 million. And it has a four-lane span and carries about 75,000 vehicles per day. [Source: Jalopnik]
