International Business Machines (IBM) has acquired an information management company based in Austin, Texas called StoredIQ. StoredIQ specializes in analyzing and managing unstructured enterprise data. IBM is going to integrate StoredIQ’s software into their big data strategy with a focus on governance, secure data disposal, and storage cost reductions. StoredIQ will be integrated into IBM’s Information Lifecycle Governance suite.
