TaskRabbit Acquires Kids Clothing Startup Company One Jackson

TaskRabbit is an online marketplace startup that gives people the opportunity to outsource small jobs and tasks.  The company has acquired an e-commerce website for kids’ clothing called OneJackson.  The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but we suspect that it was higher than the $2 million in funding that the company raised from Accel Partners, Trinity Ventures, Next View, Floodgate, and Cowboy Ventures.  TaskRabbit raised a total of $37.7 million.  One Jackson is TaskRabbit’s second acquisition — their first was SkillShare.

Leah Busque Becomes CEO Of TaskRabbit Again


Leah Busque had stepped down from the CEO position nine months ago at TaskRabbit. She decided to focus on the product and Eric Grosse took her place. Busque has now resumed the CEO position and Grosse will remain as an advisor at the company.

TaskRabbit Raises $17.8 Million In Series B


TaskRabbit is a Bay Area based startup company that helps you find personal assistants for having your house cleaned, running errands, building IKEA furniture, delivering groceries, etc. Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner is joining TaskRabbit’s board of directors as a strategic adviser.
