Google’s first employee after Larry and Sergey is named Craig Silverstein. Now Silverstein is leaving Google to join Khan Academy. Silverstein worked with Larry and Sergey from their dorm rooms as Ph.D. students at Stanford University.

John Resig, the creator of javascript library jQuery, has left the Mozilla Foundation to join the online education organization Khan Academy. Resig had worked at Mozilla for more than 4 years when he joined in January 2007 as a Javascript Evangelist. At Khan Academy, Resig will continue to work on jQuery. The Khan Academy was started by an entrepreneur named Salman Khan. The Khan Academy was initially known for uploading simple math lessons through over 2,000 videos on YouTube. The Khan Academy received $2 million from Google as a donation this past September. Students can earn virtual badges as they progress with lessons. Teachers at the Khan Academy will even intervene when a student is stuck.
