AppNexus Raises $75 Million In Series D

AppNexus is a company that has a real-time bidding platform that has raised $75 million in funding.  The Series D round of funding was led by Technology Crossover Ventures.  Investors that participated in this round include Venrock and Tribeca Venture Partners.  AppNexus has raised a total of $140.5 million.

NimbleTV Raises $6 Million

NimbleTV is a startup that is working on making it possible to watch live TV from anywhere on any device.  NimbleTV competes directly against Aereo, a company that is backed by InterActiveCorp.  NimbleTV launched in April 2012 and promised to enable customers to be able to record and stream content from a variety of cable TV channels to their smartphone, PC, tablet, and Internet-connected TV sets.  According to a regulatory filing, NimbleTV has raised a $6 million round of which $4 million has already closed.  NimbleTV has not publicly launched their service yet.  NimbleTV raised funding from the Tribune Company, Greycroft Partners, and Tribeca Venture Partners.  NimbleTV will have the same functionality as Slingbox set top boxes and DVR recorders.
