Visa Europe said that they are adding the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as the first U.K. bank to launch the V.me digital wallet online payment system. Earlier this month V.me exited beta with 53 banks and 23 retailers on-board. Visa V.me was announced about one year ago.
Visa’s V.me digital payment platform has exited from beta mode and has support from 53 banks and 23 retailers. The U.S. banks include PNC and U.S. Bank. V.me is a service that lets online stores set up a one-click solution that remembers the credit card details from multiple providers like American Express, MsterCard, Discover, and Visa. The company is launching a mobile application soon and bringing the service to check-out terminals next year. Check out the press release below:
Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) is preparing to launch a digital wallet service called V.me. Consumers will be able to fund V.me with various credit card sources including Visa, MasterCard, or their bank account. V.me will be able to be used when checking out with a user name and password instead of using a 16 digit number each time.
