Facebook Status Are Limited To 63,206 Characters

Facebook has increased their character limit to 63,206 characters. This a substantial from their social media counterpart (Twitter) that offers only 140 characters. “In September, we increased the character limit on status updates to 5,000 characters. Today, we’re announcing that you can now write posts with more than 60,000 characters,” stated Facebook Journalist Program Manager Vadim Lavrusik. This also includes group messages and wall posts. The Wall Street Journal Launches A Facebook App Called WSJ Social

The Wall Street Journal has launched a Facebook application today which allows people to read content from The Wall Street Journal exclusively from within the social network. The content is ad-supported. The application is called WSJ Social and it filters through content from the publication through Facebook’s social graph to provide a tailored experience for different users.
