Google and Virgin America have partnered to “test-fly” Google’s new Chromebooks. The testing duties will be available to lucky Virgin passengers on select flights between SFO and ORD, BOS or DFW between July 1st and September 30th this year. Testing a Chromebook will get flyers free Wi-Fi for the flight and help from Google Chrome staff at the gate. PR Newswire reports that passengers must present credit card info as a deposit to get a Chromebook, and can return the computer to the staff at the arrival gate.
