GoDaddy.com Avoids Boycott And Stops Supporting SOPA Completely

Domain name registration and hosting company GoDaddy.com has been able to avoid a backlash for previously supporting the SOPA bill. Yesterday GoDaddy.com declared their full opposition to SOPA after there was an online uprising call-for-action that declared that December 29th should be “Leave GoDaddy Day.” GoDaddy CEO Warren Adelman issued an apology on Thursday night, which emphasized the company’s new opposition. This is what Adelman had to say about the issue:

Yesterday I wrote about how many GoDaddy.com customers would be switching away from the service because of the company’s support of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). A post on Reddit went viral that had a call-to-action to make December 29th the day for people to transfer domain names away from GoDaddy.
