WebMediaBrands (NASDAQ:WEBM) has acquired blogging company Inside Network for $14 million. Inside Network is best known for the blogs Inside Facebook, Inside Mobile Apps, and Inside Social Games. The acquisition was made in 50% stock and 50% cash.

WebMediaBrands (NASDAQ:WEBM) has acquired the 10,000 Words blog from Mark S. Luckie. Luckie is the national Innovations Editor for The Washington Post. The terms of the deal was undisclosed. WebMediaBrands is the parent company of MediaBistro.com. “10,000 Words is a perfect fit for the Mediabistro blog network, which attracts over 3 million unique visitors monthly,” stated WebMediaBrands Chairman and CEO Alan Meckler in a statement. “Mark Luckie will continue to contribute to 10,000 Words and will help us develop other bloggers to write for 10,000 Words as we rapidly expand coverage.” [MediaBistro]

WebMediaBrands Inc (NASDAQ:WEBM) has bought out The Social Times, the parent company of AllFacebook.com. Nick O’Neill will become the Director of Social Times at WebMediaBrands. The financial details were undisclosed. AllFacebook.com started about two and a half years ago and The Social Times blog several months later.
The acquisition also includes the company conference and the New Media School blog. WebMediaBrands is best known for owning MediaBistro.com. WebMediaBrands recently sold Internet.com for $180 million. O’Neill will be provided with additional resources to hire more writers. The Social Times receives about 500,000 unique visitors per month and 1 million pageviews per month.
