Agilite’s Injured Personnel Carrier (IPC) Makes Carrying Wounded People Easier

Posted Mar 28, 2012

Agilite has developed an emergency sling designed for the Israeli Army to act as a “human backpack” for wounded soldiers. The sling is called the Injured Personnel Carrier (IPC) and it is based on a method for employing four rifle slings to strap a wounded person to the back of the rescuer instead of across his shoulders. This is comfortable for both parties and frees up the hands of the rescuer. The sling weighs 0.77 pounds and is only 10 inches long. Agilite comes in three different colors and is available for $79.95. [Gizmodo]
