Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) CEO Alan Mulally has made it official. He is not going anywhere.
“I would like to end the Microsoft speculation because I have no other plans to do anything other than serve Ford,” stated Mulally said in an interview as quoted by CNBC.
Mulally said that he is going to stay with Ford at least through 2014. There has been speculation that Mulally would be replacing outgoing Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer since last year.
Microsoft is expected to make a CEO decision sometime soon, but has not provided any names publicly. There is also a rumor that Microsoft will name Nokia CEO Stephen Elop as the new CEO. Other names on the short-list includes Microsoft EVP Tony Bates and Microsoft cloud/enterprise head Satya Nadella.
